Think of Domain Nameservers as directional signs that guide you to the provider responsible for managing your domain’s DNS settings. Understanding this information is essential for knowing where to update your domain’s DNS records.
We will Discuss few basics and get you covered with the main topic of “How to Check your Domain Nameservers“.
What is Nameserver?
First thing you do is purchase a domain. You can use the domain for any purpose including that of building the website. Once purchased, you need to host the domain with any of web hosting provider to get the nameserver which is necessary to find the hosting server when any of the users search the website name into the browser.
In simple terms, your domain name will act or convert as website name i.e. URL (https://seekahost.com) only when you host and update the hosting nameserver in your domain. If there is no nameserver or IP address or DNS Records updated for hosting server, then the domain will remain as domain name instead of acting as website name.
Using the help of DNS servers, Nameserver helps the browser to identify the exact location of the hosting server where the website content is stored to retrieve whenever there is a request initiated from the browser by the users. Only if there is any issue with the browser like cache, network issue, etc or issue with hosting server like IP block, server down, etc will bring the website down if a user search in the browser.
