Every solution or issue for Magento website depends on whether the server meets the website’s requirements of the client’s website. If the server does not meet Magento requirements, the client will jump between hosts, causing loss of data, money, and most importantly – time.

Background Check:

Our client, Ajeet Gautam, was building an e-commerce site using Magento to support store purchase and sales features. He used another host for several months, but that provider only suited common cPanel or WordPress sites and failed his needs.

What use is hosting that lacks the functions and support he needs; he desperately wants a server that supports Magento, not just a website host.

This mapping led to migrating the website to SeekaHost India’s Magento Hosting server, enabling progress and business growth with a high success rate.

Task fall upon us:

Main Task Additional Task
  • Successful Migration
  • Dedicated Support Team for Magento server
  • Server Support Magento Package
  • Storage Space required for Magento package
  • Website Optimization and Better Performance after migration
  • Terminal Access and
  • Install Plugins for add-on feature
  • Magento packages and plans update
  • Basic Security and Support/Guidance

Migrating a website between hosting doesn’t have any difficulty or need any specific things needed which can be done easily if proper support has been provided from the hosting side. After migration, the immediate issues are site uptime and speed. We faced the same issues while assisting the client after migration. If it were a normal WordPress site, our team would have finished sooner; WordPress tasks are daily routine for us. With Magento, it requires extra configuration and server features at the migration target.

Question Now?

How comes it can be solved and that too on an urgent basis as the client desperately needs it to be sorted out as he ran out of time for the product to be displayed and make customer queue for purchase.

To not lose both the website and the customer, our client going all out for different hosting providers.

Performance:

When the client came to us, neither side knew why the issue persisted, despite hosting on a LiteSpeed server with strong security and resources setup that need for a Magento package like WordPress.

We dug into the case to identify the root cause, since one wrong step could harm the site and disappoint the client.

What We Required:

We requested migration access, completed the migration, and emailed the full setup details to the registered address. Thus, we completed our first task. Although migration succeeded and the site went live, it remained slow and lacked options to support product display or tweaks.

Why?

The old host had not identified the core issue; only after we migrated did we get a chance to inspect the site. Fortunately, our dedicated Magento Support Team acted immediately and found the issue: the site used an outdated Magento version. Magento has moved to Magento 2, leaving Magento 1 effectively obsolete. After moving the site to our server and updating Magento, we handled traffic peaks better, improved resource efficiency, and increased page speed.

As a Consequence:

So, we have identified the core issue but that has not ended the website being down/slow or website functions working either. Our Magento team stayed in constant contact with the client whenever he faced website issues.

Before updating from Magento version from 1 to 2 , our team assessed requirements and learned we needed plugins like LiteMage Cache installed on both the server and site to run Magento properly and quickly

Without further delay in the process since the client had already spent heavily with no success, our Magento team provide 24/7 support.

Result After Migration and Support:

With ample pip in the website speed that showed instantly once we configured the lite mage cache plugin and another tweak setting that was required to run the Magento package, the client has been satisfied with the result it showed and gave credits to our support team for the process and the result.

“The support they have provided for my website has been great as far and thus makes my website function without any issues. I give all credit to their support team for sorting the issue whenever I face it. Also, the price is cheap from the previous hosting”

To meet speed and feature requirements, we purchased a separate Magento server, configured it, and migrated the site without losing data or speed.

Progress Shown:

With the new Magento server which includes SSD storage required to load the website content, Immunity 360 Security, Mod Security and the latest cPanel, Magento version, we have everything made to meet our client needs which is always our top most priority that’s only how our growth has shown so far.

As promised, we have completed most of the tasks that fall upon us before we take this case by our support team. Now our next task is to package plans upgrade and change login access and Terminal Access.

Additional What Client Required:

On every setup and function which needs update each time, the Magento package also needs an update in their current plan to meet the support for displaying the product in an online store.

Currently, he has a lite mage cache basic plan for the website. But the client needs certain add-ons to design the product display and function development to add, edit, remove or customize the category. To make that possible we have suggested a price quote and the right plan to do so. Once the client understands the plan features and his requirements matchup, we upgraded the plan immediately upon confirmation.

Additional Support:

As the client needs certain features and options to make the process smooth on their end, he requests our team to do it on our end. So, we have made the following changes for our client satisfaction and requirement:

Primary Support:

  • Terminal access enable on the server for the control panel
  • A new payment option was added as the client has only that option on his end.
  • Removed the IP block and whitelisted to permanently not face issues when accessing with that IP.
  • Client asked for page speed optimization improvement and speed matrix tips which we have shared the necessary steps to do it on the client end to improve the performance.

Extended Support:

  • Steps to activate the plugin
  • Button on add to cart and payment button on mobile issue sorted
  • Shared the error log to make the client understand where the issue falls when he tried to edit the product and sorted the issue.

Conclusion:

We are proud and happy to help our client-facing with different issues which are new and give great experiences for us. We are thriving to learn any difficult task given to us and at the same time solve it in a short time by making our client satisfaction an important priority.

We are excited to see our support help in their business’s website traffic and growth. Also, we are glad that our hosting helped clients save time and money at the same time with the best customer support. No matter what the client needs, SeekaHost is there and always happy to assist and help at any time.
